Boone Hall is one of America's oldest working plantations. Approach the main house down the renowned Avenue of Oaks. There is 300 years of history to explore here. Take a guided tour of the main house. Wander down the slave street and view the nine original slave cabins. See the plants and butterflies in the Butterfly Pavilion.

The two gardens in front of Boone Hall are filled with lovely plants and flowers. These formal gardens have many varieties of old roses, some dating back to the 16th century. You will also find varieties of camellias and azaleas as well as many other plants and flowers that you will enjoy.

The slave cabins are very unique in that they were built of brick. This was not done on many plantations. There are many artifacts that have been excavated from the site of these buildings. There is also slave history displayed in some of these cabins.
