Boone Hall Plantation was once one of South Caolina's largest plantations and had over 5,000 slaves pass over its grounds. Over the years many slaves called Boone Hall Plantation home. The slave quarters were made out of brick and two families would call the small buildings home. Today you can explore what it was like to live and work as the slaves once were forced to. During the years after Lincoln's sucess and freeing the slaves the plantation was forced to sell off parts of the land to keep the plantation alive. The slaves are gone, but their spirits remain.
