Location of Enchanted World Doll Museum Enchanted World Doll Museum The Enchanted World Doll Museum offers excitement, enchantment and education as you pass through the doors of this English-style castle, complete with moat, turrets and drawbridge. The castle "across from the Corn Palace" is home to over 4,000 dolls set in approximately 400 different and unique scenes. These antique and modern dolls are exhibited in detailed dioramas depicting life in the early 1800s and 1900s, nursery rhymes, fairy tales, and last, but not least, Star Trek. Also featured are 2,000 ethnic dolls from more than 125 countries. See Shirley Temple playing the organ; Jack, watching the beanstalk; the stately "French Fashion" beauties from the 1800s; or imagine the thrill as the dolls ride the carousel 'round and 'round. Internationally recognized as one of the best doll museums in the world, this non-profit charitable and educational foundation is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of dolls and encourages doll lovers of all ages to learn more about dolls. The museum is handicapped accessible with wheel chairs and strollers available. |
