Location of Nashville Zoo Nashville Zoo The goal of the Nashville Zoo is to promote environmental and species conservation through education and recreation. Located just 10 minutes from downtown, Nashville Zoo offers more than just a simple trip to a zoo. Hyacinth macaw, Manchurian Cranes and Gibbons greet you in our new Entry Village. Meerkats, cheetah, ostrich, zebra, tigers, elephants, cougars, otters and others can be seen on a ¾ mile animal trail. Bamboo Trail offers a variety of creatures set in a thick bamboo forest. Critter Encounters lets you get up close and personal to goats, sheep, camels and more. Stop by the Historic Home and Working Farm to see what life was like in the 19th century. Stop and see one of our exciting and educational shows. And if that doesn’t wear you out, play on the country’s largest community-built playground with more than 66,000 square feet of fun. All this plus new exhibits opening soon makes Nashville Zoo fun for everyone. There are picnic areas available. You can also enjoy the restaurant and gift shop located on Zoo grounds. |
