El Paso is located in the extreme west part of Texas and is a port of entry on the Mexican Border opposite Ciudad Juarez. With it's sunny, mild, desert environment, El Paso is a commercial and industrial hub for a mining and agricultural region that produces cotton, fruit, pecans, vegetables, and livestock. Visitors to El Paso enjoy a unique Tex-Mex atmosphere with fine cuisine and lots of shopping. Tours are available at three area Spanish colonial missions and bargain shopping is a popular activity in Ciudad Juarez across the Rio Grande. |
