President George W Bush
1412 West Ohio Avenue
Midland, Texas 79701
Voice: 432-685-1112

Our forty-third president was born on July 6, 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1948, he and his family moved to Texas where he grew up. Bush attended Yale, and then served as a pilot in the Texas Air National Guard. Afterwards, he graduated from Harvard Business School. Bush moved to Midland, Texas and began his career in the energy business.

On November 8, 1994 Bush was elected Governor of Texas and served for two terms. In 2000, he was elected president of the United States with Dick Chaney as his Vice President. His first initiative was the No Child Left Behind Act, and tax cut.

Bush created free trade agreements in more then a dozen countries, and launched a global HIV/AIDS initiative. After 9/11, he made the most dramatic government reorganization since the Cold War and created the Department of Homeland Security. He also built global coalitions to remove the violent regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Bush was elected to a second term, where he continued to fight for freedom in the Middle East. He left the presidency in 2009, and returned to Midland, Texas with his family where he lives now.
