Location of Jamestown Settlement Indian Village Jamestown Settlement The Indian village was of the Powhatan Indians that were here when the settlers landed. There are houses like the Indians had and a ceremonial dance area. There is also a garden. You can learn about the life these Indians led and how they gathered and cultivated their food. Costumed historical interpreters will tell you about the many things you see here and answer any questions you have. KAT'S VIEW There were wolf pelts, bear pelts, squirrel pelts, lots of different furs. There was a woman making bone needles. And a nicer bed with pelts all over it that actually looked half-way comfortable. There were several houses that contained these things. |
