Yorktown Visitor Center
Yorktown Victory Center
The Yorktown Visitor Center has a museum with some interesting items from the Revolutionary War. See General Washington's tent. There is a replica of a British warship's quarterdeck you can walk through. There is also a children's exhibit that shows a 13 year old boy and his experience in the war. You can also view a 16 minute film "Siege at Yorktown" which discusses the importance of the battle.
In the Visitor's Center there was a ship replica with a wooden hammock in it. I thought the replica was cool. It was just the right size for me. After all I'm only 5'2" so I could go through without having to duck like my parents. The tents Washington used were there too. The real ones, not fake ones.
