Lake Fairfax County Park is a large park with lots of activities. The whole family can enjoy a day of fun.

There are many picnic tables in the shade of the trees around the creek. There are some areas that can be reserved for groups. Throughout the picnic areas you can also find BBQ's, just bring some briquettes and turn your picnic into a BBQ. There are lots of open spaces for throwing a Frisbee or football and paying games. There is also a child's playground by the picnic area.

The Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole is perhaps the most popular feature of the park. With several slides for swimmers of all ages, even toddler slides, the whole family, grandma included, will enjoy the pool. Besides the slides there are several "critters" to climb on and "ride" in the water. Grab a tube and "float the river" around the pool and slides. This is a great place to cool off on a hot day.

The park has several athletic fields for team sports. Soccer and baseball are just a couple of the sports played here.

The park also offers several camp spaces. Group camping areas are for tents. They do not have electric hook-ups. The family camping area has spaces for RV's and tents. They only have electric hook-up. There is a place to fill your drinking water and a dump station Both camp areas have bathrooms and showers. Camp spaces have picnic tables, fire rings, and BBQ's.
