High Meadows Vineyard Inn & Restaurant
For fine dining at its best, you will want to take a scenic drive through the country to High Meadows Vineyard Inn and Restaurant. Their six-course dinners are superb. You do not have to stay at the inn to enjoy dinner here.
As you arrive, your evening begins upstairs with tasting of some of the best wines Virginia has to offer and hors d'oeuvres. When it is time to start dinner, you are taken downstairs to the candlelit dining room and seated. Choose your entree and a wine or beverage to begin your meal with and prepare to be pampered by the professional staff.
The first course is an appetizer, on our visit it was Ziti with Pesto Tomatoes. This is followed by a savory soup and then a salad. Your fourth course is a delicious sorbet to cleanse your palate before your entree arrives. We both chose the Grilled Tenderloin with Chimicchurri and our daughter had the Proscutto Stuffed Chicken Breasts with Caper Beurre Blanc. The food was fabulous and needless to say, we all cleaned our plates! To finish we all chose a different dessert and they all were wonderful.
The menus change daily and are chosen by their fabulous chef. Each course compliments the next as you are treated to an array of flavors and textures for a remarkable dining experience. This is truly fine dining in a casual, historic setting and not to be missed.
