Location of Rosebrook Inn Bed and Breakfast Rosebrook Inn Bed and Breakfast Rosebrook Inn, at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains, was once the historical Church of the Brethren Industrial School. The school opened in January 1923. In the mid 1930's, the United States government purchased the property and used it as a resettlement camp for some of the 600 families relocated when the nearby Shenandoah National Park was created. The property is now privately owned and the original schoolhouse has been remodeled as a unique bed and breakfast by your hosts Mike and Cory Skeens. The Skeens have created a lovely area for weddings and receptions. A gazebo surrounded by perennial gardens is the perfect outdoor setting for your ceremony. The reception can be held indoors in the banquet area or outdoors in the pavilion that is perfect for dining and dancing. Rosebrook can accommodate up to 200 guests for your event. They have onsite catering and floral services available as well. The inn has four nice large rooms with private baths and also private decks. They are nicely furnished with comfort in mind. The Exotic Chinese Room, favored by honeymooners, features a 250-year-old antique queen size Chinese bed and a Jacuzzi bath. The Blue Ridge Room has a full size brass bed and oak antiques. The English Garden Room has two full size beds and spacious room. The Western Room has a queen size bed and Jacuzzi bath plus is handicap accessible. Between the Western and English Garden Rooms is a small bedroom that contains an antique Murphy bed. It can be attached to either room as a second bedroom. For those wishing more privacy, there is a cottage tucked away from the main inn. A continental breakfast is served each morning. If you like to cook, there are kitchen facilities available for your use. The quiet country setting is sure to make for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. |
