Location of Deception Pass Bridge Deception Pass State Park Deception Pass State Park is located on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound. Captain Vancouver named it Deception Pass when he realized that what he thought was a peninsula was actually an island. The park has five saltwater and three freshwater boat ramps. There is 710 feet of saltwater dock and 450 feet of freshwater dock. The park also has four kitchen shelters with electricity and six without that can be reserved for your group. There are hiking trails, horse trails and a playground for the kids. The park had breath-taking views where the rugged cliffs drop to meet the turbulent waters below. Pictures of Deception Pass Bridge were taken by Darryl Franklin |
