Location of Yakima Area Arboretum Yakima Area Arboretum The Yakima Area Arboretum is open every day from dawn to dusk. Their mission is to create and share a living museum of botanical specimens in order to cultivate a greater knowledge and appreciation of native and adaptive plants in an atmosphere of beauty, inspiration and relaxation. They have succeeded in creating a beautiful living museum and botanical garden for your enjoyment. The Jewett Visitor Center is open Tuesday through Saturday. It has a flowing glass atrium overlooking the botanical garden. There are two meeting rooms, both offering scenic views. They may be rented for your luncheon, business meeting, or other event.
