Benton City is a small town located in eastern Washington sage country. It is an oasis in the desert with its location along a fertile bend of the Yakima River. With 300 days of sunshine a year the town boasts of long summers and moderate winters. The town is surrounded by orchards, vineyards, hayfields and pastures of the local farmers and ranchers. Water sports and fishing are a big draw to the area. The Yakima River is teaming with trout, steelhead and salmon. The townspeople enjoy activities that bring the town together like their 4th of July celebration, Winter Fest, craft shows in the park and other city events. |
