Spokane is one of Washington's best kept secrets. This metropolis has a beautiful natural setting nestled next to the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy some magnificent architecture from many periods. In 1974, Spokane was the smallest city to ever host a World's Fair. Since Expo '74, the site has been turned into the 100 acre Riverfront Park. With many beautiful lawns, play areas, an Opera House and Convention Center as well as sculpture, Spokane Falls and the Looff Carousel (built in 1909) this is definitely a place to visit. Enjoy many buildings from the early 1900's including the 1902 clocktower.
