Highway 97 travels south from the Canadian Border to the Oregon border through the central part of Washington. There is a wide array of landscape to be seen along this route. The mountains and wilderness of the Okanogan region in the north through the farmland of central Washington and into the Yakima Valley and through the Yakima Indian Reservation to Oregon.
