Rotary Lake is located north of I-82 near North 1st Street. Parking for Rotary Lake can be reached by taking R Street from North 1st Street all the way back to Freeway Lake Road which will take you under the freeway to a parking lot on the Greenway. From this parking lot, the Lake is about a half-mile walk up the Greenway.
The Rotary Lake has become very popular for it's Trout fishing. Trout up to 7 pounds have been caught with the average length at about 10 or 11 inches long. The lake contains mostly Rainbows, but some Brown Trout as well as Largemouth Bass and Sunfish can be caught. Statewide regulations apply for all species. You may keep 5 Trout and 5 Bass. There is no limit on Sunfish. All Bass between 12 and 17 inches long must be released and only one over 17 inches may be kept.
