Location of 4th of July Celebration 4th of July Celebration 4th of July celebration at the Central Washington State Fairgrounds in Yakima was started in the early 90’s to be an alternative for people who wanted to see fireworks but didn’t want to spend a ton of money to get them. As more and more restrictions are placed on fireworks in our area, more and more people have started going to this free event. In the beginning, there was just the fireworks display. In the last few years, more events have been added, including live music and games. This year’s event started earlier in the day and included a full blown carnival complete with all the rides and enough entertainment to keep everyone having fun all day. The festivities culminated at about 10:00 PM with one of the biggest fireworks displays in the area. |
