Location of Central Washington State Fair Central Washington State Fairgrounds The Central Washington State Fair is where it is happening in Yakima at the end of September, beginning of October each year. Come see all the animals, many being shown by the youngsters in 4-H, FFA, and other groups. Check out the displays of fruits and vegetables. Who had the best pumpkin this year? Arts and crafts are also displayed and judged. The Midway features a great array of rides for all ages. If you like the thrills of spinning and flipping around in the air, you will not be disappointed with the variety of rides. There are a large number of rides for the littlest members of the family, too. And don't forget the games. Throw the dart and pop a balloon, toss a quarter, or throw a ball to win some great stuffed animals and other prizes. Don't forget the food. Forget about your diet, fair food is loaded with calories and all the stuff that tastes good! Elephant ears, corn on the cob, ice cream, and kettle corn, you are sure to enjoy the variety of tastes. The Fair is the biggest event of the year in Yakima. Thousands of people and hundreds of vendors come to town from all over the country every year. Whether you like looking at the animals, walking through the Sundome, riding rides, playing games, or you just want an elephant ear, the Fair is fun for the whole family. With all this excitement, the Fair is definitely one event that you don’t want to miss. We hope to see you there next year! |
