Location of Folklife Festival Folklife Festival The Folklife Festival is held annually in Franklin Park on the second weekend in July. It is organized by the Yakima Folklife Association along with the Yakima Valley Museum. This year marked the 19th year that the festival was put on. Events were held at the usual four venues (Franklin Park, Bob’s Keg N Cork, Grant’s Pub, and The Zone) as well as three new venues added this year at Greystone Restaurant and two at Glenwood Square. Franklin Park was the home of most of the main events (some musical acts and a medieval village, for example) as well as several food vendors and souvenir tents. Several musical acts were held at night at each one of the other venues. In all, over 100 musical acts performed and over 10,000 people attended the event. |
