By the late 19th century almost every large town in America had streetcars and many had Parks to boost weekend and holiday traffic. Originally developed as a picnic area by the Camden Interstate Railway in 1903, Camden Park has survived into the 21st century as a thriving traditional amusement park.

Over the years Camden has been the setting for baseball games, tens of thousands of picnics, fairs, marathon dances, roller derbies, flagpole sitting, a swimming pool, a zoo, plus numerous attractions and rides.

The Camden Park Midway sells traditional amusement park food, everything from corn dogs to cotton candy. The West Virginia Grille offers sit down meals in a cool atmosphere. Also on the Midway a multitude of games and an Arcade packed with video and redemption games.

Camden Park's Kiddieland is home to 9 rides to our guests 48" and under, including the historic Carousel, Kiddie Boats and Handcars.

Camden Park has 18 major rides. Traditional favorites; the Scrambler, the Tilt-A-Whirl, the Spider, Bumper Cars and the Paratrooper, a water ride; the West Virginia Logging Company Log Flume Ride, and two wooden roller coasters the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper. The Haunted House is one of the last of its kind.
