Location of Del Fosse Vineyards and Winery Del Fosse Vineyards and Winery Del Fosse Vineyards and Winery is nestled off Route 29 in a scenic valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains. They are a new winery to the Monticello Trail area and have released their first vintage in 2005. Their 318 acres of hillside property has 20 acres being currently planted with 11 varieties of grapes. The terrain is a difficult one to plant as it is on a steep hillside. Their team of viticulture and wine making experts have approached the challenges of the terrain with creativity, experience, and passion. The results have created a beautiful view. Del Fosse has opened a temporary tasting room while they develop the land around an old cabin that they are in the process of renovating. They plan to add wide decks and lawns for picnics as well as an events area that will host weddings and receptions, corporate functions, and private parties. With their scenic hillside property they also have planned hiking and biking trails. |
