Location of Horton Cellars Winery Horton Cellars Winery Horton Cellars is one of the larger wine producers in Virginia making approximately 30 different wine varieties. The vineyards were planted in 1989 and the old-world Tudor tasting room was opened in 1994. They are open daily from 10am to 5pm year round. Winemaker Mike Heny trained in Virginia and knows the area grapes well. He has been with Horton Cellars for 8 years now. His two assistants, Rick and Nathan, are kept busy in their training with the wide variety of wines produced here. Horton Cellars is one of the few wineries in Virginia producing sparkling wines. They have two varieties that they make in the traditional Champagne style, Sparkling Rkatsiteli and Sparkling Viognier. Come enjoy tasting Horton Cellars nationally acclaimed wines and take a couple bottles home to enjoy with friends and family. |
