Opened to the public in 2001 with their first wines, the James River Cellars is starting to make its mark in the Virginia wine market. This small family owned and operated winery is open daily for tours and wine tasting. You will enjoy many of their fine wines.

Come and join in the fun during many of the events held here year round. The third Friday of each month they host "Friday's on the Patio" with live music from local bands, appetizers, tours, and tasting. They also host other events throughout the year.

In only their fourth year, James River Cellars has won the highest award in Virginia. Their 2004 Dolce Vino has won the prestigious 2005 Governor's Cup. Made from the Chardonel Grape, it is very smooth and goes great with cheesecake or other less sweet desserts. It is also an excellent ending to a meal all by itself.

Join them for one of their special events or stop by any day for your own wine sampling and pick up a bottle of your favorite for your next dinner.
