Location of Veritas Vineyard and Winery Veritas Vineyard and Winery The Hodson family purchased the vineyard property in 1999 and planted their first vines in 2000. In 2002 they had their first vintage and opened to the public. Since then this family owned and operated winery has won two gold medals in the Virginia Governor's Cup competition and has been featured in "Wine Advocate". Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, 'Mom' grows the grapes and 'Dad and Daughter' make the wine. Producing 6000 to 7000 cases a year, they are making their mark in the Virginia Wine market. Come visit the family and enjoy tasting some great wines. They have tours and wine-tasting 10 am to 5 pm Wednesday through Sunday (or by appointment). The tasting room has a beautiful mountain lodge style with comfortable leather furnishings and a welcoming atmosphere. You can choose to sit out on the deck overlooking the lovely lawns. Join the Hodson's on the second Saturday of each month for "Starry Nights". Enjoy music and wine under the stars. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and your picnic basket or you can choose to have their chef make you something delicious to enjoy with your wine.
