Location of Tefft Cellars Winery Tefft Cellars Winery Tasting Room Hours: Daily - Noon until 5:00 PM Our Story The owners are Joel and Pam Tefft. Our experience with wine began over 10 years ago with our introduction to premium wines. Thus began a slow progression into the total enjoyment of fine wine. As we learned more about wine, the more intrigued we became with the winemaking process. This great interest in winemaking brought us through Washington State on vacation, to tour the wine country. We moved to the Yakima Valley in 1987 and purchased an existing Concord vineyard with the hope of eventually replanting vinifera and making wine. Armed with nothing more than a great interest in wine, we began the process of establishing a winery. Tefft Cellars became a reality on November, 4, 1991 when we were officially licensed as a winery. The dream has come true. Our belief for the future We have planted small lots of unique varieties of wine grapes in our vineyard. These grapes will be used to produce limited quantities of hand-crafted quality wines. Our motto being "Elegance, Finesse, Harmony", we believe only a total commitment to the romance of winemaking can achieve a finished product that one can be proud of. |
